The Brack Family

Caroline Haugen (aka "Grandma Haugen") was originally Caroline Hanson. Her parents were Hans Hanson and Anne Marie Brack. Hans and Anne Marie had three other children: Robert Hanson, Inga Hovde, and Anna Rinholen. Robert came from Norway first in the 1880s. The rest of the family came later and the "Rinholen" farm in Wisconsin was the farm that the Hansons purchased in 1888. Robert moved with his family to Texas around 1905 I believe. Inga married Ole Hovde and moved to a farm nearby. Anna married Ole Rinholen and they maintained the farm which is still in the family today (run by Glenn and Tammy Rinholen).

This is Anne Marie Braek and Hans Hanson. Not quite sure what year the photo is from.

This is an earlier picture of Hans and Anna and their kids Robert, Inga, Caroline, and Anna (in that order).

Regarding the folks in the photos from the MHS Visual Resource Database...I believe that Iver T. (of Iver T. Brack and family) was married to Anne Marie Brack Hanson's sister (also named Anne). I'm not sure if Otto was another brother or even from another Brack branch. But he was a cousin of some degree to Caroline Hanson Haugen. I'll check with my dad about the specifics.
