There have been a lot of Haugen sightings recently. During the last week in June, Al and I drove over to look at the houses that Great Grandpa George built in the early 1900s and ran into Robin L (son of Carolyn, daughter of Ruth, daughter of George and Caroline Haugen). Robin and his wife own the duplex Grandpa George built and we met Christine who lives in the house that Aunt Marie used to live in. She has an amazingly beautiful garden. Robin invited us over to his home in Roberts, Wisconsin to meet his wife Jessica and their children Emma (6) and son Camdin (2) on the fourth of July. They are expecting a baby in October.
Two days later, Maddy and I met Mary Ann (daughter of Inez, daughter of George and Caroline) and Laura (Mary Ann's daughter) for breakfast at the Neighborhood Cafe. It wasn't planned, but it turns out we met them there exactly two years ago, almost to the exact date! Earlier in June, Laura and I attended a Judy Blume event at the Fitzgerald Theatre in St. Paul.
